The makers of the Kannada film Actor say their movie is unique for three reasons: It is shot at one location, features two characters and is 100 minutes long. However, they also say that the location ' the house that the title character lives in ' is almost like the film's third character. 'The actor in this movie is in a depressed state. His mood is black, and the house needed to have brighter shades.
We wanted to highlight the difference between them,' says
Naveen Krishna ' who plays the actor in the film, and wrote the dialogues and co-wrote the screenplay for it ' explaining why they needed to find just the right house. In fact, the production team was close to settling on a place at Manyata Tech Park. The film's producer KM Veeresh, says, 'But the director,
Dayal Padmanabhan, who is also the co-producer, had a contact who sent him pictures of another house that was right behind this one and he insisted on shooting there. We were told that it costs between `75,000 and `1 lakh to shoot there for just one day and I was curious to know why people would pay that much for it. But when I saw the house, I saw that it was tailor-made for our film as it was rich-looking and represented the status of the main character, the actor.'
